Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an impactful technology with the power to bring about drastic changes in Azerbaijan’s consumer market and the global trade system. It can be applied in areas such as analyzing market
trends, optimizing logistics, reducing carbon footprints and generating more accurate predictions of consumer behavior. AI integration helps build a more sustainable and competitive economy by promoting the efficient use of resources. On the other hand, there are several challenges to the widespread acceptance of AI in Azerbaijan. These include vulnerabilities in digital ecosystem, high costs, a lack of skilled workforce and ethical concerns. These factors hinder the full utilization of AI and impede the digitalization of the nation. Addressing these challenges requires stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors, reforms in education and skill development and the creation of clear legal frameworks. Only then can Azerbaijan fully harness the potential of Artificial Intelligence and strengthen its position in global trade and economic growth. This paper examines the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive sustainable development and economic growth in Azerbaijan, focusing on the challenges and opportunities of AI adoption in the country’s consumer market and trade system.
